WNL 2024 Ryder Cup

Let the Games Begin!

The 4th annual Wednesday Night League Ryder Cup will take place on October 4th and 5th 2024. Times TBD. While the results of the first annual Ryder Cup have mysteriously disappeared from time and space, Team McDonnell holds the cup for the last two “official” seasons, but Captain Dan from Team Aylward has declared the reign of tyranny is over and 2024 is going to bring a new Champ to the mix!

This year we will be providing New Foot Joy Polos for every participant. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to Battle Time!

Good Luck to all!

Playoffs Begin!

NOTE: Please remember these results are unofficial and the clubhouse has the last word. We have made every effort to transpose the results accurately and have based the matchups for playoffs on tournament theory (1 & 2 bye, 3 plays 6, 4 plays 5). REMINDER THAT MATCHES START AT 5:00 PM NEXT WEDNESDAY!

With that said, Congratulations to Team 2 and Team 4 for attaining a first round bye. Next week will see Team 1 (3rd) play Team 5 (6th) while Team 3 (4th) will play Team 6 (5th). As always, results, standings and schedule are all in the usual places. I believe Bill usually has the Bye teams scheduled in if they want to play but you should verify with the Pro to be sure. Good luck to all!

July 21st Results Posted

With one week to go in the regular season, Team 2 and Team 4 have a good grasp on a first round bye. Don’t sleep on Team 1! They came back from last weeks low score of 7 points to score this weeks highest point total of 22. Should be an interesting week of golf!

July 7th Results

After a rain-out last week the matches were on for the 7th despite a very dicey forecast! All teams were evenly matched this week with no more than a three-point spread at the end of the night. Team 1 picked up two points on our current leader; Team 2 (we really need names for our teams!) leaving them with a slim eight-point lead. Team 4 is moving up in the standings scoring the second highest point total this week (15). With all teams tightly bunched, it’s anyone’s game as we come into the last 3 weeks of the regular season. I had a good chuckle when reading the posted rules which state “The Best Six Team Qualify” for playoffs. So the real question is, which two teams will get a first round bye?

Cheers!
